I walked there yesterday. Watching the games geese play with each other, I thought a lot about the way we ourselves coax and tease, laugh, eat (an essential in my case) and play with, and generally chase down the objects of our affection.

he chases her

she then chases him

a secret, underwater pursuit

they're just so into each other

he's doing the mating dance

alone

traveling together

two take off

heading into the sunset, alone

watching

too much togetherness?

keeping up with her

two birdwatchers, waiting, with expectations

I was just driving on the South Beltine about an hour ago. I look over at the little pond at 51 and the Beltline and thought about Mud Lake. We went there with my cub scout pack once. The boys were not interested in bird watching, but loved running and hiding among the tall reeds.
oh, ducks. i love ducks.
these pictures are gorgeous, nina, as always.
These are extraordinary photos. You are truly multitalented: thanks for sharing (some of) your talents with us.
Enchanting! I hope you don't mind that your solitary duck is now keeping me company as my desktop wallpaper ...
Your photos remind me of that Ella Fitzgerald song . . .
Birds do it, bees do it
Even educated fleas do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love
It's almost Spring. Time to throw caution to the wind and fall in love.
Those are beautiful ...
Thanks for the nice bird photos.
