walking home

Do understand that, in all essentials, I am a person who has had a fantastic amount of good fortune. And I know it.

Posts about cold weather and work? Take them in the context of, for the most part, a charmed existence. The hugely unfortunate things that happened to me, happened in ways that didn’t destroy anyone. That’s sheer luck!

I am aware of all this. It’s why I’m not really a good candidate for whiny blogging. It would not be authentic.

Still, it was a cold day, a long day of work, and a cold walk home.

Nina, my kindred spirit!

Unfortunately my blog is where I let my whines run free, thereby sparing the people I live with. If only I could forego the whining altogether!

Well, it's good to have goals, right?

You whine?!? Never!

As long as you write from your heart -- and you do -- your posts will always make my day brighter.

Besides, look at the lovely photo you gave us today. Sunlight playing against the cold blue shadows of snow blanketing a tree lined path. You can feel how cold it is, but the beauty entices you outside to hear that great sound -- the crunch of boots on very cold snow.
